Merry Christmas, My Love follows a man facing Christmas after losing his partner, and the carer who helps him find companionship and enjoy the occasion again. Created for Vintage Revelations, the short film aimed to build awareness of the difference care can make. I led the production from concept to delivery, telling a small, human story about loss, kindness and finding a way forward.

My role
I produced, directed, operated camera and edited the film, working with a small crew. I stayed involved from the initial idea through to the finished piece, connecting the practical decisions on the shoot with the emotional direction of the story.
Process
I developed the narrative around the man’s loss and the support offered by his carer. Through production and editing, I focused on how that relationship unfolded, shaping the progression from isolation towards companionship and a Christmas he could begin to enjoy.
Reflections
The project reinforced how much an awareness campaign can communicate through a carefully told human story. Reaching almost 200,000 views was rewarding, but making the emotion feel earned was the creative priority. That attention to character is something I want to keep developing in future films.
